Let’s take a look at how you can increase the diagnostic accuracy.
TIME FRAMING OF INFECTION
The earliest sign of infection will be isolated to one point in the face and can occur 2-24 hours after the procedure, at this point it is generally mild and isolated. Itching and redness can be a first indication also. Pain, tenderness and redness of the area will follow within the first week, abscess formation can follow from day 6 – 14.
TIME FRAMING OF INFLAMMATION
Happens quickly after procedure and reaches peak at around 6 hours then gradually improves.
ALLERGIC REACTION
Likely to affect all tissues of the face in first 24 hours and will swell where the product is seated, infection tends to cause swelling a little later, slower to peak and is more localised as opposed to widespread.
