Ensuring the needle entry point is the same as the mark you have made on the skin when carrying out your initial checks will increase accuracy of product delivery. This can sometimes be confused as an area of entry as opposed to an area of delivery of final product. Make sure that the bevel of the needle is facing up and visualise the bleb of toxin being delivered directly under the mark so it is at the highest point of the bleb, rather than entry of the needle which will ultimately go past where the toxin needs to be delivered.
PRODUCT FLOW
This can, at times, be physically witnessed under the tissues, resulting in as much as half a cm distance, between the surrounding tissues and the desired placement of toxin. The product can also become caught up in the vascular system and inevitably be carried and distributed away from the area intended. Inevitably this will result in one side of the face getting more toxin than the other. This can of course be easily rectified at follow up. This result can be particularly noticeable in areas of treated and untreated muscles.
