The more the patient is exposed to the toxin and its proteins, the less severe each reaction will be generally. If this is not the case, there are ways to limit its effects.

• Use a product that has less to no stabilising proteins, Bocoture and Xeomin are the main ones currently available on the market and has been shown to reduce flu symptoms in those patients that use it.
