AVOIDING CHEEK PTOSIS
The injection that carries the highest risk when causing a cheek ptosis is the most inferior injection of the crow’s feet, in the orbicularis oculi. As per licensing 4 units should be administered, 1.5cm, at and angle of 30 degrees from the lateral canthal point. It’s worth remembering that a patient’s anatomy can vary and therefore techniques should be modified accordingly, often the injection point will be close to the cheek elevators.
